How to register for the UKSAF meeting and/or the NPL fibres workshop

Delegates who are attending only the UKSAF Meeting and who do not require on-campus accommodation should register online. Alternatively return the Registration Form by post to the address below.

For the convenience of delegates who are attending both Meetings, or who wish to make reservations for campus accommodation and/or the Wednesday dinner, it will be possible to register for the UKSAF Meeting via the NPL website. Please note that VAT may be charged on the Meeting Fee if booked via NPL. Please visit http://www.npl.co.uk/fibresworkshop for further details. The one-off fee (£10) for new members joining UKSAF will be waived for this time for delegates who are attending both Meetings. If you choose to register via either the UKSAF or the NPL website, please do not return the mail-in form.

Conference Dinner / Social

A joint dinner for attendees at either the NPL or UKSAF Meetings is being held at Belfast Castle on the Wednesday evening.  The cost of the dinner is an additional £40.00 (£34.04 + VAT).  All dinner bookings are again being handled by NPL at http://www.npl.co.uk/fibresworkshop.

For delegates arriving on the Tuesday, there is a wide range of restaurants, bars, clubs and other entertainment available in Belfast.  If there is sufficient demand, a minibus will be arranged, leaving the campus for central Belfast at 7.00 p.m. and returning at 10.00 p.m.  There will be a small fee for this, payable on the bus.  Please indicate on the booking form if you would like to reserve a place.  If you wish to stay later in Belfast, see the travel page for details of travel by public transport (until approx. 11 p.m.) or taxi back to Jordanstown.

See the Accomodation and travel section for more information on hotels and travel.

Payment Policy

*The committee regrets the introduction of this variable fee policy, but it has been forced implement this procedure, due to the administrative burden of servicing the late payment of meeting fees by some members. Delegates who are not existing members of the UKSAF will be charged an additional one-off joining fee of £10, which must be added to the meeting fees quoted above. Note:- VAT receipts cannot be provided as there is NO VAT content in the costs of this meeting. Payment should be in Sterling in advance.
