"The Year 2000 Bug"

A. Carrick, Acolyte Consultants

Why is the problem important?

What should I do in the Lab?

Where can I get help?

The meeting in Cardiff will provide the last opportunity for the UKESCAUG to offer advice concerning potential problems with equipment and software as we reach the millennium.

Alan Carrick is attempting to put together specific advice concerning the various instruments that are being used in the UK. This may take the form of manufacturers Websites etc but may also include specific advice on individual instruments.

If any member has considered the likely implications for their specific machines and can offer any advice we would like to hear about it before the Cardiff meeting so that the information can be disseminated to all UKESCAUG members at that meeting.

If you have any Year 2000 advice please let either Alan Carrick or Bob Wild know as soon as possible.
